Portinscale village is a mile from Keswick (5 minutes drive or 20 minutes scenic walk). The village boasts two eateries (one being only 70 metres from our front door), a village cafe and shop and two Marinas. The Keswick Launch lands at one of these Marinas allowing easy access to the whole of Derwentwater and surrounding walks. Portinscale is ideally situated for access to Northern and Western Lakes. We are only 15 minutes drive from Grasmere, 30 minutes from Ambleside, 40 minutes from Windermere and 50 minutes from Carlisle and Scotland.
